Anarchy results without righteous people in charge. A lack of respect for authority in government wreaks havoc on any society. This was the problem of the Old Testament Israelites. “In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” (Judges 17:6; 21:25). And this will become a problem today if no righteous leaders are in charge.
