Love and Obedience

As important as love is, all the love that a person might have for God would be of little use without obedience. John encouraged: “My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in actions and in truth.” (1 John 3:18); and Jesus said: “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” (John 14:15). We must always comply with how much we may know of His will. If our love does not show up in obedience it can hardly be called love.
